Hesitation and jerking

I have a 2005 Impala. For quite some time it has been jerking while driving and hesitation when going from a stop. When my husband and I just go out driving around for a couple hours the problem gets much worse

Our 2005 has, for a while, seems to take a second or two before engaging from a stop - very inconsistent though. In the last few days, I have noticed that there is a 'bump' between gears when accelerating as well. Advice?

have someone like a parts store pull all ur transmisson and engine diagnostic trouble codes and let us know what ya come up with?? torque convertor clutch apply solenoid is goin into overdrive not from a stop u turn off tcc apply solenoid when u tap brake pedal enough to trip the brake light switch goin down the highway u can push brake just far enough to apply ur brake light switch yet not apply ur actual mechanical/hydraulic side of ur brakes and u will here ur car shift out of overdrive and rpms will go up thats what ur tcc apply solenoid does ais apply ur torque convertor for overdrive situations or disable torque convertor under braking

ENGINE HESITATES WHILE ACCELERATION

LOSS OF ACCELERATION

It can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its clogged filters causing there.

all of the shifting solenoids are in side the tranny, by the sounds of if you might be able to try a service on the tranny, new filter and fluid might help alot. try that first before spending alot of money.

My car cuts off at times right after it is cranked. At other times when stopped at a stop light but starts back up. Also, when driving it is hesitating and jerking.

It sounds like you have a bad MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor). This is in your air inlet tube, pull this out and check to see if there is any corrosion on it. If is one that has a coiled exposed wire, then ensure that the wire is not broke.
