2003 Toyota Avalon. Trunk release button on dash does not work. I do not have any power coming to the connector that attaches to the button. Checked with volt meter.I checked with button in glove compartment depressed and released.I visually inspected every fuse by drivers left knee and every fuse under the hood by battery.Every relay that was clear on the top that I could see through , looks good.where does power come from to feed the switch other than the fuse block? Next I will check the glove compartment switch. Thank you very much.

Check the continuity of the switch/s sounds faulty to me... you have checked every thing else....but it may very well be a relay... all power comes from the box for that type of stuff except the switch itself (switched power) which i think has its own line perhaps to its own fuse on your model ..not sure

I have a problem opening my 2000 Toyota Avalon's trunk. I can open the trunk using the button on the dash but not with my FOB. The FOB works for the doors but just not the Trunk.

Have you took your fob in to be tested. They can test it at automotive places , usually free. It will tell if it has power or not then possibly replace the battery. Or may need a new fob all together. Might have to order one from a Toyota dealer.

How do I fix a faulty trunk release button on an Avalon 2004?

Fix --you mean replace a part AFTER you test
that part & the system it functions in !!!

My guess would be something other than the button
you push, maybe the trunk latch solenoid

ALL vehicle issues have to be first learned, then tested,
to just find a problem

2007 Toyota Avalon, trunk will not open with key fob or button in car, no noise when I press either, have a flat tire and can not get in the trunk

Button inside glove box (on left side) disables trunk opening...just push it again and trunk can be opened...worked for my 2007 Avalon. I must have bunped it by accident to disable the trunk and didn't realize the button existed. Toyota dealer said bring it in for $125 diagnostic but then I saw the cure in the car manual.

The trunk release on the dash does not work, but the remote button does work. How do i fix this?

Okay this means its working good and not a fuse or broken wire to trunk release, this leave one of two things that may be wrong, the first and most common is someone forgot to reconnect the switch connector when they remove the cover for some reason or the switch is bad, remove the cover that the switch is on and see if the connector is plugged into the switch, if it is then you may have a bad switch but i think you will find the connector is not connected, hope this helps.
