Crank position sensor failure is likely. No pulse from this sensor, and the ECU will not switch on the fuel pump, so no gas and no go. Cheap part to replace. THEY DO FAIL WITH AGE. If the car has done a high mileage. Replace it. Age due to constant heat exposure kills them.

You can't. There is no code you can change. It is a matter of an embedded code in your radio matching the one in your car's computer. If you bought a used Saab radio from a junkyard, you still have to take it to the Saab dealer to get them to change the code in your computer, so the radio will work. Nice, huh?

You will need to have your car's ECM (Computer) read by a OBD II scanner to determine what Trouble Code your ECM is giving so a mechanic can properly diagnose the problem. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they can pull the codes out of your ECM for no charge.
