I am not familiar with that modle, but generally i would raise the car and support it securly. Then if there wasn't a drain plug, i would remove the pan from the transmission ,following instructions from a good service manual. hope this helps
if the fluid level is low it can cause problems with gear shifting, top up the fluid level & see if that makes a difference.......hope this helps......cheers.
The 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor does not support MP3 playback or Ipod adapter. You would have to install an aftermarket stereo in the CD slot below the HVAC (A/C) controls.
let the car warm up for 5 to 10 min before takeing off
the trans fluid gets thick when it gets colder also have trans filter and fluid changed every 30,000 miles
This can be caused by several problems, one dirty filter and fluid in the transmission the fluid gets trapped behind filter and causes a low fluid level That is where I would start before moving on to more serious problems.
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER FLUID OTHER THAN MITSUBISHI FLUID!!!! Any other fluid other than Mitsubishi fluid will blow the torque converter these transmission are very picky. Have a COMPLETE fluid tranny flush with Mitsubishi ATF Fluid. If your truck is an AWD that had a recall on the drive shaft, if you have an AWD and did not experience this before you have just been lucky and now had your luck run out at 160K. I would however put my money on the use of non-Mitsubishi transmission fluid.
Thanks for the quick response..it was very helpful.
I need a compatible trans fluid I have heard that dextron 3 works fine
how to do tranmission fluid change yourself on 2007 mitsubishi endeavor
