Rear blinker does not work need to access bulb

My rear turn signal light on the passenger side went out at 41k miles. Ditto emergency flasher for that side. Turn signal click is accelerated on that side as well. Front left turn signal works fine. Suspect a bad bulb. Have bought a replacement but am not sure how to get into the lense assy to change the thing. All my older vehicles either had external screws holding on the lense assy, or twist and turn pull out sockets one could get to from inside the trunk. This seems to have neither.

Your rear bulb is burnt out if you say the front one is working .. the speed up of flashing means your bulb is bad.. you might have to get in the trunk and unscrrew those hand wing nuts and push that tail light outward to get to the bulbs ... thanks Jerry and holler if you need more.

I have a 1998 Lincoln carier towncar and I have blinking sounds and the marker lights work but not the blinkers

You hear a clicking sound but none os the turn signals work, neither front, rear or dash indicators? Check the underdash fuse panel to see if it is the flasher that is clicking. There needs to be some resistance in the flasher to make it work so some light should be working. Do the emergency flashers work? They use the same bulbs but a different flasher. Both systems go through the turn signal switch, Move the emergency flasher lever in and out several times to make sure there is a good connection. Check to see if current 12 volts are getting to the signal bulbs.

There should two separate bulbs for marker and blinker. It sounds like a bulb is burnt out, bad ground, melted socket or a wiring anomaly. Are you certain it's supposed to have 57 series dual element bulbs for blinker and markers?

Emergency Flashers totally out, Rear lights malfunctioning

Check the ground on the passenger side rear lights, it's likely bad. As for the hazards, sounds like a bad flasher or fuse.

No passenger side brake light. right flasher module going bad .

Check the rear bulb socket. You might even try wiggling the wires on the back of the socket while you have the signal on.

No brake lights of blinkers 1990 dodge dynasty

While not likely, it is possible that the light bulbs in both sides are have bad filaments. Turn on ignition key (but don't start engine). Then turn on parking lamps (first detent or "click" on headlamp switch). Walk around car and look for illumination on front parking lamps and rear tail lights. Turn on the right turn signal. Are those (right hand) lamps now changing brilliance? Try the left turn signal in the same manner. Are those (left hand) front and rear lights changing briiliance? Take note of any positions that did NOT change briliance when the turn signals were activated. If NONE changed briliance, you either have a bunch of bad bulbs (unlikely) or a bad flasher (more likely) or a bad turn signal switch (most likely) or perhaps wiring problems (possible if the car has been in a collision or has been "worked on" by some "non-expert" mechanic). Check the action of the emergency flasher control switch located on the steering column (facing up). Pushing it in (down) should result in the button going to two different heights alternately (low, high, low, high). You could just have bad flashers or corroded flasher contacts! Good luck!

Blinkers not working

Did you check the bulbs? If one bulb is burned out, the blinkers won't word on that side. You could have one bulb burned out on each side. Start the car, put left signal on. Check front and back lights. Is one light on but not blinking? If that's the case, the light that's not on at all is burned out and has broken the circuit so the good light stays on and won't blink. Check the other side. You also have a 'flasher' , actually 2. One for emergency flashers, one for the turn signals. It could be that the turn signal flasher is shot. You just have to unplug it to remove. It's probably located near the fuses. good luck countrycurt0
