Hello, my name is Ben. Since you say you lost most of the brake fluid, I agree it's most likely air trapped in the ABS modulator. The problem is once air is trapped in the modulator, it will take a trip to the dealer to bleed the system. Before you go to the dealer, you may want to try bleeding the brakes IN THIS ORDER, right rear, left rear, right front and finally left front.. That is the recommended sequence.
Why are you bleeding brakes in the first place? What was repaired or replaced? Double check the procedure on these items.
Items that would cause your delima: External leaks anywhere in the system
Internal leak in master cylinder.
Bleeding procedure : Use procedure specified by manufacturer
CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL MAKE SURE MASTER CYLINDER IT HAS CORRECT AMOUNT OF BRAKE FLUID IN IT.IF YES MASTER CYLINDER IS FAULTY OR AIR IN BRAKE SYSTEM.IF YOU CHECK BRAKE FLUID IN MASTER CYLINDER AND ITS LOW .CHECK FOR LEAKS AT BRAKE CALIPERS SEALS AND BRAKE HOSES. CHECK ALL WHEEL CYLINDER SEALS AND BRAKE HOSES AND ALL BRAKE LINES.
I am trying to vacuum bleed my brakes. I replaced the pads and have no pedal at all. I cant draw any fluid through the bleeder nipple at all. Please help me out.
push the pedal and see if it goes to the floor slowly or fast, if so,some thing like this i would lay on the ground in the back and have some one push the pedlal and hold it, look for fluid, like wet spot near the wheels first ( i have seen wheel cylinder go bad but not leak alot at one time so keep that in mind too) and make your way to the front on the driver side inside of the fram.i dont think its the master cylinder but see if you can see a wet spot at the bottom of the master and the booster( i seen masters not leak as will )
