Will a transmission for a 2002 ford focus fit a 2004 ford focus(both are sedans)?

if they are both 5 speed boxes then it should be the same and will work

They will be the same part number so it should wirk

check the engine breather pipes under the manifold at the front of the engine ,could be these pipes are perished causing your problem

my 04 zts was throwing the same code. I got under the car and found a vacume hose that was off of an actuator thing ,put it back on and hasn't thrown code since

same way u take it out put it in all else fails read instructions

Open up hatch , reach in and pull back liner, Remove nuts to release light lens. then push, turn and pull out bulb socket and same for bulb.

sounds like your torque converter went bad.
start with check transmision fluid level.

not sure what the sound was, but if there's a blown head gasket, the water that gets in a cylinder won't compress and it won't turn over very well and sometimes not at all. that may be what they mean by "holding compression".

check for water in the oil...it'll foam up on the dipstick,

Get a second opinion from a reputable shop other than Ford.... If it's a head gasket, it's much cheaper than an engine swap, if that's what you're thinking...
