Hi, My 1.6 Accent doesn't currently have a check engine light on but it has been on before, briefly. When I check it I get P1529 and P0740. The car has no symptoms that I'm aware of. How do i get these codes to go away so I have no troubles at my upcoming inspection?
Go to www.aa1car.com get the topic and fix it.
God bless you

P1529 means nothing more than the TCM (transmission control module) has
requested that the ECM (engine control module) turn on the check engine
lamp.
P0734 basically indicates that your transmission is slipping.
You need to take this car to an authorized repair center for hyundai cars. Replacing the filter and fluid on the transmission might save this transmission but I would be willing to bet that a total transmission rebuild is in order.
Good Luck
SOURCE: My car's check engine codes are p1723, p0740,
All of the codes are related to the transmission. Some indicate the input speed sensor. I'd bring it back to the transmission shop and tell them to deal with it. I don't know what your car was doing before you had the transmission replaced so it's hard to tell whether the repair was needed but since it was done, the problem should be the transmission shops, not yours. Best of luck and please post back, would love to hear how you make out. Greg
