The lower intake manifold is leaking. People at work indicated that the problem with the GM lower intake manifolds is that the manifold warps causing the gasket to leak, not so much a gasket problem. They recommend replacing the lower intake manifold & gaskets. A local repair garage has a complete kit which includes the intake manifold. I am also told that GM will reimburse some of the expense as this is a common GM problem. Does anyone have suggestions?

If its the same as my GTP, its just under the Supercharger right in the middle of the intake.
Just pull it out, its only held in with a O-ring. When you replace it, make sure you lube the gasket with grease so its easier to put back in, and less likely to nick the O-ring.

Parts stores carry a kit including a manifold and gaskets. When I do the job I always replace the lower intake gaskets because they leak too. Make sure the lower manifold is not warped around the rubber gaskets towards the throttle body side, a new or used loewr manifold might be needed to ensure a correct repair.
