The brake line that runs the length of the right rear frame rail is leaking...two questions 1) was this a recall in the 1998 GMC's? 2) can this be replaced without removing the truck bed?
I dont know of any recall for that
and yes it can be replaced without removing the bedeasy wasy too do it is go too auto zone and buy a roll of brake line and run it along side of the old one and just leave the old one in the hangers and use tie straps too hang the new one!!!

Thanks...just for clarification...I should follow the line that is hidden from view in the frame rail to it's origin...then follow it out to where it connects to the hoses that are visible...simply disconnect both ends and make new connections...leave the old one in the rail...and just hang the new one on the visible side of the rail.
Thanks Denny...I just had to replace the fuel pump and the factory hoses from the fuel pump to the fuel filter and it cost me...this is gonna save
