I have no electrical power what so ever in my 92 Ranger. Nothing electrical works as if the battery is disconnected. The battery is brand new, I have cleaned the terminals, tested grounding wire from terminal to engine block and checked all the fuses I am aware of. Does anyone have suggestions as to where to look next?

What is the engine size? Have you checked the ignition module? Check the output of the crank sensor at the ignition module to verify wiring integrity. The signal is shielded so insure there is no break in the insulation.

I am about to have the same problem with my 2002 ZX2. My shop called the Ford dealer and they can replace it for $450.00...
seems like an awful lot for a battery cable.

i would have to suspect a crank sensor and-or connection there.
i see you checked it with an "o-scope" but i would be willing to
bet you dont have injector pulse either. without the crank signal, there is no rpm input, the pcm doesnt even know its cranking!
i have replaced many crank sensors with this intermitent concern....

Maybe you bought the wrong part, take the old part to auto parts store where you bought it and compare it. on this older model vehicles it is unusual for parts no to be the same.

Briefly installed battery backwards. 2000 Ford Ranger. New Battery, new alternator, but alternator not charging battery. Truck starts on battery-new starter motor. Lights work, all electrical works

Is this the alternator that was in the vehicle when you hooked the battery up wrong? If so, you probably blew out the voltage regulator in the alternator.

Car will not start. My '92 Buick Roadmaster won't

The battery connections on those are prone to corrosion and poor contact. Take the connections apart and clean them thoroughly. Use a wire brush, use di-electric grease on them.
