No heat/airconditioning in Lexus RX 330

Winter is here and I have discovered there is no cabin heat. Fan blows only cold air. As the summer was ending, had something similar with air-conditioning - was cold, then nothing, then cold again. Each time there was less cold air. Also, the check engine and VSC lights go on and off periodically. Is this related? What could the temp problem be?

The issue is blend motors servo. This servo controls vents. So if it does not function, you end put receiving the air in the last position when it malfunctioned. To my recollection, there are two motors on the driver side. Not sure about the passenger side. For replacing the motors, you need to remove the dash cover, set aside air bag, etc. There is a wring on You Tube on the procedure. It is not difficult as I just replaced one of the motors recently.

The warning lights are probably not related to no heat, unless the engine is low on coolant.
It sounds like a problem with the blend doors under the dash, or the main controller. You may need a shop manual to diagnose it.

SOURCE: 2007 lexus rx350 ,vsc light on and check engine light is flashing

First check and make sure your gas cap is tight, if this does not resolve the problem read below.
A vacuum hose has become disconnected, more than likely due to having your air filter replaced. The VSC and Check engine light typically don't come on until after 150-200 miles after the vacuum hose was pulled out.
The fix: on the right-hand-side of the engine compartment behind the big plastic housing that holds the air filter you will find a black rubber hose that is not connected to anything. Squeeze the finger clamp on the hose and slide the hose back onto the half inch nipple on the back of the air filter's plastic housing.
In order for the VSC and Check engine light to be turned off, you will need to open the fuse box, right-side of the engine compartment, and pull the 20 amp EFI fuse for 10 seconds. This will reset the system. The fuse location is marked on the lid of the fuse box, also I believe the EFI fuse is the only 20 amp fuse
. This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

SOURCE: TRAC OFF, VSC, and check engine lights are on in my 2004 Lexus ES

Often caused by a loose gas cap or fouled or failed air fuel O2 sensor. Check your gas cap is fully ratcheted, Drive a day or two. If lights don't clear you will need a code reader attached to the car to diagnose.

P0037 LEXUS P0037 LEXUS - Oxygen Sensor Heater Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 2 Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
Possible causes - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit open shorted to ground
- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit
- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 1 Sensor 2 circuit fuse
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) When is the code detected? The P0037 is set when the ECM detects an excessively low voltage through the heated oxygen sensor heater circuit P0037 LEXUS Description Oxygen Sensors (O2S) or Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S) need to reach a minimum operating temperature of 750 degrees F to produce an accurate voltage signal. The faster the heated oxygen sensor reaches that temperature the faster the sensor will start sending an accurate signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).

In order to achieve the require temperature, a heater element is included inside the heated oxygen sensor. The ECM controls the heated oxygen sensor heater element based on signals from the engine coolant temperature and engine load. The ECMcontrols the heater element circuit by allowing current flow to ground.

The ECM monitors the voltage signal received through the heater element circuit and determines the state of the circuit by comparing the voltage detected with the factory specifications.

They are on each bank in the exhaust manifold BEFORE the catalytic converter. Sometimes mistakenly called an o2 sensor, can also be called a Heated Oxygen sensor.

Buy the original OEM Denso sensors.

When the vehicle gets warm the air conditioner kicks off when idling and the engine starts to heat up because I think the fans shut off but when you take off the air works again

Are you sure you have the air conditioning on and not the fan?? sounds very much like it. The airconditioning compressor is discrete, separate from the engine/heater.
Is your coolant reservour fully charged with coolant?
Think you may need to check these

Aircondition fan motor changed running ok but little air through vents

Does it still sound like its on high? If so you could have your vents blocked/restricted or your blower is not blowing on high speed. Usually a blower resistor if not blowing at max or not blowing at all speeds
