1991 Honda Civic DX Location of Fuel relay switch

The fuel pump relay is located under the dashboard of the car right next the fuse panel. Depicted in the included photo, is the exact replacement relay for a 1994 Honda Civic DX, and should look like, or similar to, the one located by the fuse box.

Fuel pump is in the tank, there may be an access panel under the back seat area. One thing to check is the Main Relay. Ususally up under the dash, Left Dash area, I dont have a diagram, but you will need one to find and verify the relay operation.

The fuel filter is on the passenger side of the engine compartment, up against the back firewall (directly in front of the passenger seat).

I would definitely check your main relay. It is located under the left side of the dash, and is a common fail item on civics from your cars vintage. They cost about 50 bucks, but are a most likely to fail item. Unfortunately, there is not much to test on them, unless you take it loose, and tap on it a bit and see if your car starts?

if u hear the pump then the fuel pump relay is not the problem. did I misunderstand you, but didn't you say the pump makes a whirling noise?

have you check the spark plug?

it could be that your fuel injectors are clogged. i would buy some good fuel injection cleaner and top it off with premium gas to unclog anything that may be causing the problem. you can also buy some octance booster and top it off as well with premium gas and it should solve your problem if and only if your good about taking care of your care.

The Ignition Can Cause This Try Taking All The Keys Off Your Keyring And See If When You Use Strictly The Vehicle Key If It Still Does This.
