SOURCE: need diagram of engine to replace fuel filter on

The fuel filter is located inside the frame rail, just ahead of the passenger-side wheelwell opening. It has a threaded fitting on the forward end, and a quick-release clip on the back hose attachment.
Caution! The fuel is under pressure. Wrap a rag around the quick-release fitting as you release it, to catch any spray. or first relieve the pressure at the test port on the injector fuel rail (under the plastic engine cover), again using a rag to catch the fuel spray. Wear safety glasses, and only do this when the car is completely cooled off. You WILL spill some fuel while doing this, so have a catch container, and/or spread oil-dry/cat litter on the ground under the filter area. After changing the filter, turn the ignition "on", which powers up the fuel pump, but do not start the car. Now check for leaks at the filter, and at the test port, if you used it to bleed off fuel pressure. If everything is dry, you are OK.

SOURCE: Buick LeSabre makes funny sound!!!

It is a sign of a clogged convertor, but i happen to own the same car (with a series 2 3800) and had the same symtpoms going on when i bought if for the wife. Mine turned out to be a Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (EGR Valve).

To kind of get a feel for what is going on with the convertor, you can have someone help you but sitting in the drivers seat, with the car running. You go behind the car near the tail pipe. Now have the other person rev it up a little, not to much though. Put your hand but the tail pipe to see what kind of pressure the exhaust has. You can use another vehical to do the same thing to feel what things are supposed to feel like. If the convertor is plugged, the pressure of exhaust coming out will be a lot softer than it should be.

If after checking it as discribed above, if you feel it is plugged, grab a hammer, and bang the heck out of it. This will break up and loosen the clogged part without have to replace it.

There is no really good way to test a EGR vavle without a special computer. Replacing it however, does seem to me as the most likely repair for this vehical. It is located on the top of the drivers side of the motor. It look like a cylinder with a wire coming out of the cap, and is held on by 2 13mm nuts.

Good Luck....

2005 Buick Lesabre has po300 code. Changed the coil pack and ignition module. Still hesitates and runs rough. What do I do next?

If you've already replaced the coil pack and ignition module but are still experiencing hesitation and rough running on your 2005 Buick LeSabre with a PO300 code, there are several things you can do next:
  1. Check the spark plugs: Even if they appear to be in good condition, it's possible that one or more of the spark plugs is faulty or not functioning properly. Check each one to make sure they are clean and in good condition, and replace any that appear worn or damaged.
  2. Check the fuel system: The issue could be related to the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or a failing fuel pump. Check the fuel pressure to make sure it's within the manufacturer's specifications, and replace the fuel filter if necessary.
  3. Check the air intake system: A clogged air filter or a problem with the air intake system can also cause hesitation and rough running. Make sure the air filter is clean and in good condition, and check the air intake system for any clogs or obstructions.
  4. Check the engine compression: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a problem with the engine itself, such as low compression in one or more cylinders. A compression test can help identify if this is the case.
If you're still having trouble after checking these items, it may be best to take your Buick LeSabre to a qualified mechanic for a diagnostic evaluation.

Should be under the car in the fuel line between the tank and engine.
Usually in front of one of the back wheels, or under the driver seat.

Can't find the fuel filter!

I have a 2002 Lesabre but suspect it is in the same vicinity. Look under the car, drivers side under the passenger door towards the middle of the car.
