Mr. pdshoto, thanks for your help. I change the resistor, however I change it with an after market part. I noticed that the part that looks like a credit card is smaller in size than the original equipment, but it works so that is alll it matters. I also learned that you only get 90 days on warranties on the after market part.
thanks again.

I suggest you find your fuse/ relay center check fuses and try new relay, I think the relay is 75% at fault most of the time.
Blazerk from Altima forum suggest
Back probe the blower motor Blue/Yellow circuit and tap it to ground, if that doesn't make the blower operate, the blower motor/power transistor assembly is bad. When the blower motor does operate while grounding that circuit, the climate control panel may be faulty, repeat the test from the connector at the control panel to verify the wiring is not damaged. Also, When verifying voltage, Use the power and ground wires to the blower motor. Other grounds may give you faulty readings.

you have an open blower resistor assy.easy fix however in most cases failure is due to blower motor intermittently drawing excessive current and damaging resistor.best solution is to replace both the resistor and motor
if your blower motro only works on the #4 setting you need a resistor.cheap and easy to change.located next to blower motor under pass. side of dash.two phillips screws secure it.if it fails again replace blower motor as it is drawing too much current and overheating resistors.let me know how it turns out.
either blower motor resistor or blower motor itself or the heater controls themselves more often than anything its the motor or resistor before the controls hope this helps
you need to replace the resistor block or clean the contacts on the heater fan resistor block plug. find your fan and follow the wire to find the resistor block. it will have 5 wires coming out of it and be mounted in the duct work for the heated/ac. remove a few screws and pull it out and put the new one in.
