Unlock child lock - 2008 Audi Q7

You will have to remove inside door panel and manually release the latch to get the door open than flip the child lock in the door jam with door open

Hi. Try : unlock the car ( push open 3 times) open doors from outside ( make sure they unlocked) switch child lock to lock position and back to open. Pull again on the handle after you switch before you close the door. Let me know if it helped.

page 14 of your owners manual shows how to lock unlock the child proof setup on door -----open door and by latch will see the the lock move to unlock position ! CAUTION LOCKING WITH REAR DOOR CHILDPROTECTORS Turn the lock knob to the "LOCK" position as shown on the label. Open door and look at small switch type lock unlock protuberance near the locking mechanism on the door itself.....

The ones I am familiar with are a simple lever that you move up or down and are in the face of the door near the door lock mechanism To lock or unlock it is just a matter of moving the lever.

To unlock the child lock, simply open the rear doors and look on the side of door for a small switch. Simply flip the switch and the child lock should unlock.

Child Locks will stop anyone on the inside of the car from opening the door. If the child lock is on then the door can only be opened from the outside of the car. Of course the main door lock must be off just as any door must be unlocked to be opened from the outside.

Now if you do not want the child door lock to be on then you must first open the door from the outside with the main lock open or unlocked. Look at the space that is covered when the door is closed. There you will see the lever that turns the child lock on or off. Simply move it to the off position.
