2000 Honda Odyssey EX has 310,000 KM Got this error code P0740. What is the solution to this problem
P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction
The problem could be the torque converter itself or the sensor circuit for the clutch.
Best to have a Transmission Expert look at it to see if any further damage has occurred.
Can't hurt to try.
I just don't want you to waste money on the transmission flush if it doesn't work. Some places charge about $150 to $200 for a flush.
Since I can't look at the car over the computer, my suggestion would be to take it to an ASE mechanic that works on transmissions all the time will give a better diagnoses since he can actually look at it. Replacing the sensor may fix the problem, or transmission flush, or etc.
I can only give suggestions about what to do. Sorry I can't help more.
