SOURCE: Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Oxygen sensor needs to be

The sensor you indicate would be on the manifold of the head containing cyl.# 1, top sensor (prior to catalytic conv.) 6 cyl. engine. 4 cylinder would be sensor on exhaust manifold. Confirm sensor failure prior to replacing as chrysler harness connectors are known for pin failures at 02 sensor connections. Inspect for burnt pins and cracked/chaffed wires first before changing sensor.

SOURCE: how do i change the oil pressure sensor on a 2000

1st locate your sensor, most of the time, they are up on the engine itself, you will need a oil sending socket and ratchet to do the job, once you locate your sensor, disconnect the wiring connector to it, then remove the sensor, and before you install the new one, take some white teflon tape, that you can buy at a auto part store, and wrap some tape around the threads of the new sensor, [ normally 2-3 rounds is enough tape. ] install the new sensor straight in to the opening, make sure you don't cross thread it, after you get the sensor started, then tighten it up as much as you can with your hand, then finish tightning with ratchet and socket, [ do not over tighten ] then hook wire connection back up, and you are ready to go, start vehichle up and check for any leaks, of the sensor, they shouldn't be any, if you followed these instructions, hope that this has been helpful to you.

Welcome to Fixya

If cooling fans are not working then the best place to check first is the fuse box. Check the fox box for any blown fuse related to cooling fans. Replace the fuse if necessary. Test the cooling fans by connecting it to the battery and see if it will spin. If the cooling fans spins then there is a short in the wiring.

Don't know what sensor you talking about, but the air intake goes from the air filter box to the throttle body...normally a cold air intake is an aftermarket air intake.

What makes this motor so rich yet be making the short and long term trims so negative?

Try unplugging the air intake temp sensor and see if anything changes. Plug it back in. Then try unplugging the MAP sensor and watch for the changes.
If nothing changes try replacing the sensor that had no effect on the O2..........

Describe your 2000 Chrysler Town &

Look for a blown fuse or bad relay for the a/c in the front fuse box. If replacing fuse and it blows again, then there is a short circuit on the load side of the fuse which goes to the a/c compressor clutch. If fuse ok, try another relay to replace the possible bad a/c unit. The engine computer controls this relay. It also receives air temperature sensor reading from cold air path.

Runs back in cold weather

Hello,
The most likely problem with your van, assuming that there is no check engine light being lit is that the small motor on the air intake manifold has stopped working . this will cause the motor to run badly when it is at idle forcing you to keep the gas pedal depressed to keep it running smoothly. This motor usually has only 2 screws securing it to the manifold so it is an easy fix.

Good luck!
