I have a 94 Plymouth Grand Voyager, 6 cyl, 3.0L engine. I was driving along when it suddenly lost almost all power, I kept it going for a couple blocks where I could legally park it and then it died. It will turn over and even spark up after a long time cranking. It will idle fairly well and for a long time but the moment I try to accelerate of even just rev the engine in boggs down like its gasping for air or fuel or something and misfires and back fires, losses all power and dies. I've changed the spark plugs and wires and rotor and cap. I've replaced the EGR valve and the ignition coil. Any suggestions of what to do next?

You have a failure in the transmission or the shift solenoids or wiring to them or the TCM. I would get the Transmission Control Module (TCM) tested for fault codes first. Did you have a check engine light come on?
Dosent sound good. Oil light on means you lost oil pressure. and the knocking sound is the damage done due to low pressure. Start looking for another engine or another van.
yes check your fuel pump itself, if your fuse/relay is good then your fuel pump might be going out, especially if its your original being a 92 god bless
the water pump will be in front of the engine and the belt will go around its pully , there will be the radiator hoses connected to it and also the heater radistor hoses
