The dash board of my Honda Civic 2002 LX is showing service required. Waht are the main problems? Is is safe to drive the car?
Honda has two lights "service required" and "check engine"
The service required is programed to come on when your honda needs scheduled maintnence. It basicly reminids you that its time to go to the honda place and give them more money for service you do not need, but should get done,
The check engine light means that you have a serious problem and should only drive your car if you are going to place to get it fixed.
I hope this helps. you can go to any mechaenic and have them turn you service light off. It will not go off by itself.

thanks for the initial recommendation. The engine oil had been changed but the dash shows "service required" as before. Are there any other faults?
