Check your tail light and other running light sockets for corrosion. Pull each and every bulb to check it, also check the back side of the socket. (Your headlights are not part of this circuit.) Rust or water with rust will conduct enough current to blow the fuses. Please revert back to the 20 amp fuse, as you may damage the wires leading to the bulbs in places you won't be able to find or fix. It's unlikely that it's one of the actual light bulbs, all light bulbs tend to go open instead of shorted, but you can check them too.
Maybe try to run new wiring or check for worn insulation in wiring from front of vehicle to tail lights. Maybe try to take it to an 'auto electric' shop for this service, where they can check the wiring for shorts to ground. This can be expensive, but sometimes it's best left to the experts to avoid costly mistakes.
in the rear lights you may have two bulbs one is the turn signal the other one is stop light / tail light the stop light / tail light has two filaments, one for the stop light (21 watt) & one for the tail light (5 watt) it is possible that the tail light filament is blown, try replacing the bulb to see if that fixes the problem, also check all the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.
OK there is a short in your car take all the light bulbs out of the light that trigger the problem this break the current place one bulb in at a time checking that the fuse has not blown this will pin point where the problem is once you find the problem you can replace the socket as it may have started to corrode check for water once you replace the socket you should not have a problem if you do let me know dj_ricko_1988 at hot mail dot com
I would look for a wiring short in the trunk at the taillamp area, or, inspect the sockets for the taillamp bulbs for corrosion. In any case, you have a short circuit in the trunk area, also check the wire that comes from the body & goes up the trunk hinge on the driver side; that wire may be chafed, and it may be shorting out. Hope this helps; please get back to me if you need any further assistance.
Do you have a trailer tow package???
IF SO did YOU put it in or did it come with it and was it factory installed?
