First the speedometer quit working on my 1996 honda accord, then 2 days later, I couldnt shift it out of park down into drive and the power windows stopped working, and the tachometer and fuel and temperature guages stopped working, and the delay on the wipers stopped, but not the full speed wipers. and the rear defrost quit working, and so im totally going WHAT THE HECK!! I checked all the fuses, and found only one 10 amp fuse blown.when I replaced it, all the things that I just said didnt work anymore, started to work again, but as soon as I tried to roll up the windows it popped that fuse again. HELP!!!!!!

What you are doing gets things working again, but its just not safe. If the wiper motor or wiring has a short in it, it creates heat, and the wires leading to the wiper motor are not set up to handle the amperage that the higer rated fuses are sending trough them. Its only going to get worse, and if you put in a larger fuse, it will get hotter. Eventually you will have a fire. You need to find out what is causing the issue and get it resolved. I am not sure that the SRS(airbag) system will work with the light on either. Id take it to another shop if you cant afford the repair work at the honda dealership. Good luck.

For the most part, there's only 3 things that control the wipers. Your switch on the steering wheel, power to the motor and the motor itself. There are other variables but if you get a Chilton manual and study up on the wipers, it'll give you some direction to go to troubleshoot your problem. It's not unusual for the motor to go bad.

I am no Honda expert, but a similar problem happened to my ex sister in-laws Ford Taurus. The speed odometer would jump around and it had trouble shifting (automatic transmission). After driving it I changed out the speed odometer sensor on the transmission and it's been fine ever since. I changed out the sensor because if the cars computer cannot tell how fast the car is traveling then fail safes in place go into effect and the computer will do it's best to keep the cars rpm's down based on the speed indicator and not let it shift or shift properly either. If it's getting false speeds then it will shut down the motor when the speed gets to high and allow it to run as the speeds fall (jumping speed odometer needle). It effects the transmission shift points also. It will either shift erratically or not shift out of say 2nd gear, so that the cars engine can't get damaged based on what signal the speed sensor is sending the computer.

Speedometer quit, Drive 4 light started flashing, check engine light now on, slight power loss when accelerating

check your wheel speed sensors. and vehicle speed sensor on the transmission

drive 4 uses it to sense slip in the front/rear wheels.

check engine light on because it needs to know vehicle speed to shift properly.

no speedometer because it turns the voltage into a signal to the gauge

Car is losing power and speedometer not working

The alternator is dying...
It is not charging your battery. Don't use your headlights (big power drain) until you have the electrical checked.
AutoZone will analyze (free) w/o removing alternator (IN-CAR test)

Hope this helps, soon!

My Accord's shifter is stuck in ''Park'' ; Cruise doesn't work now

Most likely are. Check to see if your brake switch performs both functions. Does it do the cruise and the brake/park lock.
