2004 subaru wrx roof rack wind noise
Hghghgh
Ignore my other post, new to this system and trying to get logged on!
djdjr is right, roof racks are notorious for wind noise, but one manufacturer seems to have solved the problem see this video- http://www.prorack-international.com/eu/...
Their product Whispbar really is quiet, I have one on my car and never notice it, More on the product is on their website http://www.prorack-international.com/eu/...
They're not cheap though, but in my opinion it's worth it as you don't need to take them off!

Roof racks are notorious for causing wind noise - the only solution I have seen (other than dealing with the noise or removing the racks altogeher) involves a molded piece of tinted plastic that attaches to the front rack and re-directs the airflow that would normally traverse the racks and cause wind noise from the windshield up and over the racks - (They are available on-line, I believe, and called "Roof Rack wind deflectors" -) I'd check with the manufacturer of the racks, and see if they offer an accompanying wind deflector - but you also may be able to find one in JC whitney or somewhere as well...
Take it off
