On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced

SOURCE: Can't remove back light to change reverse light bulb.

Sorry I have been out of town. I went to the library and borrowed the Chilton book. I already had it right, but the back light cover was just not being cooperative. After jiggling it a little more, it came off and I was able to change the bulb. I wish they had made it simpler like the old Camry _ where there wasn't so much difficulty getting at the bulbs.

Thank you for checking.

Stuck in park, power windows don't work, reverse lights don't work dash doesn't work. keeps blowing 10 amp fuse for reverse lights.changed brake pedal switch didn't help

of course changing a brake pedal switch will not help in a reversing light problem
they are two totally different circuits
check for a damaged wire at the reverse light switch or bulb holder for the reversing bulbs for a dead short
as for the rest check the IGN fuse under the bonnet

Reset reverse light indicator camry

Make sure the tail lights and brake lights are working including the one in the rear window, if any of these are out the dash warning light will stay on, any bulbs that look discolored should be replaced

Only right side reverse light does not work.

There is not any left or right reverse Light switch. It is only one switch for reversing light and it is fitted on the Transmission. If you do have the one working and the other not, first check the bulb if is ok,if not change it. If the bulbs are ok, check for any broken wiring.

2009 V50 back up lights are both out. What could it be? Not the fuse or bulb.

if fuse and bulbs are fine then it's your reverse switch that's not working. it is located at the transmission, change it. but before changing you should make sure that the wires are not cut or faulty.
