Why does the ac comp fuse onder hood keep blowing

Possible direct short in compressor clutch. Disconnect wiring harness from compressor and then turn AC on> If fuse doesn't blow, then problem is in compressor/clutch. Suspect it to be seized. If fuse blows while compressor disconnected then problem in wiring.

Keeps blowing fuse

Most likely the clutch on your ac compressor has stopped working or the entire compressor has seized. The blower will still work, but without the clutch working correctly int won't cool like it should. While possible to replace just the clutch on a compressor, it's generally better to replace the entire assembly.

AC compressor will not turn on, and will not blow

open fuse panel under hood and check the AC Comp fuse. If it blows again you may need a new compressor

Hi,I am going to try and help you. This could be a problem in the ac system not allowing the ac system to operate. This could be freon loss,But needs to be checked out by a ac mechanic to tell exactly what is causing the problem. The ac may have to be reset,if this is the case.If I can be anymore helpful, please feel free to notify [email protected].

Can some post the 1999 gmc sierra wiring diagram

you don't have enough pressure in your system. odds are you have a leak someplace and the factory installed a saftey switch to keep the ac from running when there is no pressure. This way you don't end up burning up your compressor.

Ac is blowing warm air in my 2005 sierra 2500hd duramax. Any idea

Your system has R-134 Freon in it. the 134 is made up of smaller molecules than the old R-12. The R -134 permeates through the rubber parts of the system. If the system gets too low on Freon, the compressor will stop coming on.(low pressure cut out switch). Have the system serviced with an A.C. machine that can vacuum, measure the amount of Freon in the system, and add the right amount. The machine can also inject die. Later the die will show up under a black light. This will show any leaks you may have.
