2000 chrysler concorde switch unlocks but wont lock doors.

I have a 2000 chrysler concorde 2.7l v6, with power windows and doors. I'm having problems with both drivers and passenger side door locks, When I push the switch it unlocks the doors but wont lock the doors. I've checked the wiring harness to the lock switch it's connected, and I've checked the fuse it's also good. Any help would appreciated. Thanks.

    Do'es this happend with both driver's side switch and passenger's side switch or just the driver's side main lockout switch?

    Do you at least hear it trying? Soft"thump" noise from door lock area?

Sounds like the actuator. I had the same problem. Mine got to the point where it will now only work with the key. Had it looked at by dealer.. actuator is bad. Good luck.

there are two way of doing these . frist you can remove door panel on drive side and find the power wire for door locks rand remove from connter or cut . sec. you can take to dealer and they can plug in to car and change that way . but only deal can do that .

How do you reset the anti-theft system on a 2000 chrysler concord
Put the key into either door lock or the trunk cylinder and turn the key to the fully unlock position and remove. This should turn off the alarm system. I don't know the methods can do for you or not, but you can have a try.

This should work if it is a factory alarm, first roll the window down on the drivers side door then manually lock and shut the door, then unlock the door with the key and see if that shuts it off!

if was fuse no window would move- check to see if drivers door has a window lock switch first - if not-
have a mechanic see if power at motor and go from there

If you have a spare key, locking and unlocking the passenger door from the outside should turn it off.

Passenger side front door will not unlock. Door
probably a solenoid thats not opening or closing. you can get one from a junk yard. its located inside the door. if you cant install it, have a shop you trust do the work.

I would say thats for you to decide. You got to weight all your options, whats the1300.00 for replacement engine? Or what, if it was up to me i would most likely get a nother car but thats me, you got to do whats best for you and your situation.
