I've done this many times
You will need a tubing cutter
Screwdriver
I think a 7 or 8mm socket
hose clamps
the appropriate amount of heater hose
zip ties

cut the steel heater line at the front in a place you can get access to,leave yourself enough steel hose on the rear to allow you to put the heater hose on cut off the steel hose and discard, and use 2 hose clamps on either end do the same for the other heater hose, this way is cheap and easy and permanant.Be sure that when you run the heater hose keep it away from hot or moving parts, use the zip ties to fasten it along the way, this should take about a half hour or so depending on your skills and working conditions, remember to buy some antifreeze to top up the system because you are going to spill some, remember to clean any spills animals love it and it is deadly.

Heater hose diagram 1999 Chevy Venture with rear heat and air.

I couldn't find a heater hose diagram specific to the 1999 Chevrolet Venture with rear heat and air, but I can give you the general location of the heater hoses and how to identify which ones go to the rear heat. The heater hoses on a 1999 Chevy Venture are located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. There are two heater hoses, one that is hot and one that is cold. The hot heater hose will be connected to the heater core, which is located under the dashboard. The cold heater hose will be connected to the engine. To identify which heater hose goes to the rear heat, you can look for the hose that is connected to the heater core outlet that is labeled "Rear Heat." The other heater hose will be connected to the heater core outlet that is labeled "Heating Core Inlet." Once you have identified the heater hoses that go to the rear heat, you can reconnect them to the heater core. Be sure to use new clamps when you reconnect the hoses. Here are the steps on how to replace the heater hoses on a 1999 Chevy Venture with rear heat and air: Disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant from the radiator. Remove the heater hoses from the engine and heater core. Install the new heater hoses. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Reconnect the battery cable. Start the engine and check for leaks.

Heater hose busted on my 2001 Montana van

If it's a heater hose, it will go to the firewall behind engine, where it connects to the heater core's fitting that juts out from firewall. Hose goes over that fitting. Heater hoses are fairly easy to replace, maybe not so easy on yours, due to lack of space. Drain the coolant before taking off hose, loosen clamps on it, then start pulling it off. Watch for a hose holding bracket that also needs to be removed before hose is completely free. Some do, some don't have such a bracket. Hire a neighborhood kid that works on cars to replace it, as sometimes that hose to heater core fitting can get stuck on tight, and if one starts yanking or pulling on it, you can break the fitting and will then need a new heater core-big expense to replace. Good luck and merry christmas in capital letters, lol.

I have a 94 voyager. Its leaking @far left mid section of van. Ive been told its related to the rear A?C system. Im loosing antifreeze and car temp is rising. I see it is coming from metal part of a hose...

Should be 2 hoses there, 1 pressure and one return for coolant to travel to rear heater. Just cut the metal pipe back to where there is no holes, and install a longer piece of rubber heater hose. Clean it good, slide it over the pipe and tighten hose clamps on it.

I have the 2001 GC ES with dual automatic climate control. The heat works in the front, but blows ice cold in the back, at all speeds, no matter how long vehicle has been moving. I'm starting to wonder if...

If you have heat in the front the engine cooling system is operating normally (waterpump ok) If the rear hoses were rusted out you would have front issues too due to collant loss. I sounds like either the rear controller has a problem with the temperature door actuator or an electrical problem going to the actuator. They sometimes have a heater valve which shuts off coolant flow to the rear heater core. It is located in the engine, where the rear hoses split to the rear. They are usually vacuum operated, possibly the valve or vacuum issue, check there. Feel the rear hoses under the van with the rear heat on. One should be hot and the other warm (this would indicate the heater core and valve are functioning). If the rear fan works the fuse is ok for the controller.

My dodge caravan 2001 is giving heating troubles. Will blow some hot air and then after some time, starts blowing cold air.

Ya I would almost guarantee you that the radiator is shot.
You will need a new one.
Cost 800.00 to 1100.00 to get a mechanic to install.
You can buy one your self for about 300.00.
Do it yourself.
to test if that's the problem try this.
Fill the radiator all the way to the top with coolant
Run the van till its warm check hoses to feel for heat.
If its all hot and good..then id say you got awhile before you will need a radiator.
What will happen next is your van will start to over heat when you least expect it to.
Good luck

My husband changeted the radiator hose on my v6

Are U sure the coolant is full and all the air is out of the cooling system? if the engine was badly overheated then u may have damaged the cylinder head gaskets, this can cause the cold air as well as low coolant..
