Go back to basics
do cylinder compression test, dry and wet
if compressions 25 psi lower than another one this can cause rough idle(valves leaking)
should be 150-180 psi any lower engine wear.
check pcv hose from rocker cover to throttle body especially port in throttle body for blockage.
are any codes being set?

Very high idle after the engine is warmed up

Have a fault reading done to determine the sensors that have failed. Could be a MAF/MAP sensor problem or an ambient air temp sensor.

Had all new air intake hoses but still rev's on her own when you take foot off pedal.

Besides having the throttle postion sensor checked, also have the idle/air control valve checked. The pintle inside might be sticking.

I cant find where the idle of Nubira 2 1999 is located. please help

Idle is computer controlled and not adjustable. If there is an idle problem, may be idle control motor (throttle body mounted) or bad throttle position switch.

Idle Control Valve

It should be mounted right on the throttle body. The only other sensor there is the thottle position sensor and that is right behind where the throttle cable connects.

Engine starts but will not accelerate, cuts out when throttle pressed. problem has been developing for a couple of months. would cut out then restart and behave OK for a while, now stars ok but will not...

check the vacuum line, check the map senor and idle speed sendor, check to make sure your getting the right fuel pressure at the engine. check all fuse and relay for proper operation.

Fuel/accelerator problems. dies when accelating or at idle. runs when accelerator held in one position for a short while.

CHECK THE IDLE SPEED SENSOR, UNPLUG IT AND SEE IF THE VEHICLE REVS UP A BIT. IF IT DOES, THEN REPLACE IT. ALSO CHECK THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IN THE FUSEBOX. HOPE THIS HELPS. .LET ME KNOW. GOOD LUCK
