It shouldn't need to be reset. Are you sure the battery is good and that it's installed properly (correct polarity)?

SOURCE: replacing battery on 2006 toyota camry

remove fusebox cover from r/h side of engine compartment, look for relay marked EFI , pull relay out , wait 30 secs, replace relay, cover etc and away you go

I have a 2003 camry just replaced the battery and now nothing will turn on at all.

You need to check the connection cause that sounds like there is a wire connection problem. That is short circuited problem I would go and get a wire connection box they have them at auto zone and what you do is take the wire pin that is connected to the box and it will show if there is any connection going threw that wire. Like I said if one wire is bad you will have to replace the whole connector that connects to the battery

my 2003 camry did the same thing when i changed the battery. this is how i fixed the problem. this is very easy to fix, take the car on the freeway or highway and get the speedometer up to 65mph for a few miles then get of the highway shut the car off wait 30 sec, then turn on the motor while in park and rive up the rpm's up to 4000 and then let off the gas it should reset the idle back to normal

I just had the battery replaced in my '02 Camry. It will now start but stall when you take your foot off the gas. At Autozone they hook up to the computer and said there were no codes. Was told to drive...

had this problem twice after battery change and starter change....each time the car died on me about 5 or 6 times at idle...then it cleared itself and never happened again...

Installed new battery, car will not idle now.

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to assist you.
Most likely, your car's computer has 'lost' its basic idle parameters. This can happen when the battery goes dead, the battery is replaced, or the battery cables are removed from the battery.
The good news here is that there is nothing really wrong.
All you need to do is drive the car, hit passing gear a few times, pull off, let it idle, do some start-stop driving, and withing 10 miles the idle parameters will be reset
We have to do this drive-cycle every time we disconnect or change a battery in our shop..
Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance today.

2002 camry battery changed, dies in idle

When you take your battery out and put a new one in all your computer controls have to be reset. You need to drive the car at 55 MPH for 2 min or so, stop, go through normal drive cycle, stop and go and then if it don't straighten out you need to clean the throttle body and the idle air control valve. Hope this helps. PHil

2003 Camry Speedometer reads 150 mph constantly.

i would disconnect the battery again let it sit for 15 minutes, i changed an alternator and jumped the car then started driving and that happened to me, 20 minutes of driving and the computer finally kicked in and started working again. good luck
