I own a 2000 sunfire(4 door) and the dash lights, fog lights and the trunk lights do not work. I do have the break lights, all turn signals, head lights, high beams working. I have changed the fuses and bulbs in the trunk. I had a friend connect to the computer and no reports dealing with electrical issues. If anyone could help with this issue I would be happy that I would not have to take a cab to work any more.

As far as your dash lites, try rotating the interior lamp dimmer, see if the dash lites come back.
Also, check mirror fuse in fuse box, not only check the fuse, use a test light, see if voltage on fuse circuit?
Your bcm is also involved.

SOURCE: low beam headlights not working on 2004 Pontiac Montana extended

You headlight lamp have a diffuser mechanism which allows it to flip between the hight beam and low beam feature of the bulb. In fact, you high beam will function even if the low beam is not working.

I would recommend the purchase of the new headlight lamp. It would cost you you any where from $15.00 per unit to get a replacement lamp

SOURCE: 2005 pontiac sunfire headlight issue

I have run into a few of these and what I found was water getting into the wires that go to these headlights. The harness is just below the battery area.It will be easier to get to from the bottom of the vehicle. You will have to remove the plastic cover from the harness and the electrical tape.Find the dark blue and the orange wires. The dark blue is for the drivers side and the orange is for the passengers side. There should be 2 of each.Look real closely and see if you see a spot where the wires are slightly swelled up.These wires are only 18 gauge so it is not easy finding the bad spot. One thing you can try is pulling on the wires a little and sometimes they will separate where the bad spot is.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Dash and tail lights not workjng brake and turn signal on passanger side not working

The dash and tail lights are on two different circuits, and the brake and turn signals are on different circuits, so at least 4 circuits total.
I would start at the headlight switch and check for power on the first two issues.

My radio, trunk and fuel door all work sometimes. Where is the Multifunction relay? I believe the part# 90494163 It is a 2000 Catera Cadillac. Thanks

K134 Multifunction relay is under the dash on the driver side. When sitting in driver seat, above your left ankle, it is located behind a cardboard panel. Replacing cures many problems with the Bose radio, sunroof, gas and trunk releases, fog lights.

Fogs lights are out, would that make the service light with the wrench come on

Good observation, yes it would. The service light is indicating there is a problem with the system that operates your fog lights.
It is generally one of three things. A dash switch, fog light relay or blown fuse. You can check the fuse in the fuse panel and make certain it is good. If it is OK, you can go to your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and they will scan your car for diagnostic codes at no cost to you.
Write the codes down and respond back, we will go from there.
Good luck, let me know.

Breaklights not working

you need to check the brake light switch, which is located under the dash, just above the brake pedal rod.. when you step on the brake pedal there is a spring loaded switch just above it that is allowed to expand, thus making an electrical connection and energizing the brake lights.
