Disabling the light doesn't fix the problem, you should have this diagnosed by connecting a diagnostic code reader that can communicate with the traction control system, then go from there.

This is the fix: There is TSB BR001-04 a mechanic can perform or Google the fix and do it yourself. It's a software issues that needs to addressed.

The VSC is the Vehicle Stability Control. It appears there is a fault in the system somewhere. Also, if your Check Engine light is on, the VSC light will usually kick on as well. Fix whatever is causing your Check Engine light to come on first, and see if that also solves the VSC issus. I hope this helps! :) -Jason

Vehicle Stability Control or VSC is a computer that assists your car handling. If your light is on it means that VSC has been disabled because of a fault. You would need Toyota to determine what part of the VSC is the problem. Keep in mind the VSC is not critical but more supplimental so if they show you a huge bill foe repairs you will be fine not using this feature. But if your better fixing it because it's a good safety feature. Hope this helps.

The check engine light ,trac control light and VSC light are on. Does this normally represent a serious problem on a 2004 toyota solara?

vsc light tells that there is something wrong and vsc system is inactive. I got this light last week and went to jiffylube who connected the computer and pulled the error code. Then reset the light and its fine since then.

i would suggest you to go to some auto repair/service shop and get the problem code. and get is fixed and also get the warning light reset.

My 2000 Lexus GS 400 just had the VSC/VSC off light and the check engine light come on. I would have to push the accelarator peddle all the way down to get it to go. Took it to the Toyota dealer and the code pulled up as the Throttle Position Sensor was out. Purchased one and having it put in. Will update if this fixes the problem.
