If motor stalls , did it?
if not stalled, you are losing DC power 12v to the PCM, or other EFI parts.
Im assuming you ment quit reg, at the misfire. and that the motor did not stall.

My RPM meter is not working...it's always on 0.

I used to have a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse with the same symptoms; my mechanic replaced the speed sensor ($65) and the problem went away. Take the car to auto zone and ask them to plug the computer, they normally do it free of charge. If it is the sensor, you may have to buy at the dealer.

Instrument panel guages work one day the not the next, whats the problem?

It's tach, not tack, short for tachometer. Were these gauges installed by unionized people? It could have been the gauges' day off, as per their collective agreement.
Most instrument panel woes are caused by bad grounds. Most panels are below the front glass, and if this leaks, guess where the water goes? Dashboard problems are a bear to fix sometimes, and costly in terms of labor. Have someone steal the car.

At what tempreture must the jags engine run on the tachometer in the car?

Hi there,

The Tachometer is used to report how many Rotations Per Minute (RPM) the engine is running at. The number will vary depending on your speed.

There is also a temperature gauge available on most models for engine temperature. It too can vary depending on engine speed, duration, elevation, etc. As long as it's below 212 degrees, you will be fine
