Well, it might simply mean they wish to rotate your tires. When you are told your tires need to be rotated, it means your tires are warn on certain parts. You can get quite a few more miles out of the tires if you simply rotate, or move the front right to another place on the car, and change the rest of the tires positions as well.

They might also want to just check to see how warn they are in general, but their likely going to rotate, and align your tires.

My car says tire pressure system needs service

Usually means one of the tire sensors died or is having intermittent connectivity with the receiver. If the message stays on all the time, I think it means the unit died.

My service tire monitor system light came on as I was driving to work. What does this mean and how quickly does it need to be repaired?

It means at least one tire is low on pressure by at least 25%. Fill your tires ASAP. It's dangerous to drive on seriously underinflated tires. If the light doesn't go out after filling your tires, then you've got a problem with a tire pressure sensor. Take it to any tire shop and they can replace the sensor.

What does service tire monitor mean on a 2005 chevy tahoe means

It means you have a malfunction in the TPMS system. First you can try to do a reset as follows: 1. key on, engine off, parking brake on. 2. turn park lights on and off 4 times you will hear a horn chirp twice, you are in program mode. Start at L/F tire release air for 10 seconds, wait 15 seconds until horn chirp, after chirp go to R/F tire do the same until horn chirp then R/R let air out til the chirp then L/R do the same after the L/R chirp, turn key off and you are done, note you have only 5 min. to complete. If you do not hear horn chirp at each tire, you will have to start from beginning. When complete, remember to add air to each tire, 35 psi is recommended.
If that does not work you probably have a bad TPMS sensor, which will have to be replaced. Some auto parts stores will test your sensors for free, so check around.

What does it mean when the warning SERV_TPM come on

Hello, SERV-TPM means Service Tire Pressure System. There could be several items to bring up this message. It could be a bad sensor in one of the wheels. It could also be the sensors require programming. The best way to find out is to have the system checked for codes. Before you do any of the above. check the placard on the drivers door for the correct pressure then check each tire with a gage. Thank you

Service tire monitor shows up

This usually means one of the tires are under inflated. Just check the tire pressures and adjust them..and the light should go out..If not there may be a hidden problem with the antilock brake system, as tires are monitored by the abs wheel speed sensors ..hope this helps..

Mistu eclipes check engine light came on - it looks like this (!) what does that mean?

This is a low tire pressure indicator.

If the light is illuminated, it means one or more of your tires have fallen below 28 psi.
Take the vehicle to a shop or gas station and have the tires aired back up to 32psi (or your preference for pressure)
The light will go out after about 1/4 mile of driving at the right pressures.

If the light is flashing, you have a fault in the tire pressure monitor system and require service from a Mitsubishi dealer (factory scan tool is required for service)
