I have an 05 jeep grand cherokee and the other day when I went to hit the the eject button on the CD player it automatically went straight to the radio. After I restarted the vehicle I could hit mode and it would begin to play the cd again but if I tried to hit eject it would go to the radio again. It doesnt have a disc changer and everything else on the factory head unit is working find, the radio, all that stuff. I didnt want to start tearing things apart or trying to dig it out. I have sees some others with the same problem on here, but the answer are like "dig in there with tweezers" and I dont think thats the best possible way to solve the problem. Any Ideas?
Try cleaning your battery terminals with a wire brush or sandpaper. You will need the proper wrench for this precedure. Retighten & start. If this fails, try taping the starter with a screwdriver. Sometimes this will free up a sticking starter selinoid. If this fails you may need a new starter. Hope this helps. Good luck!
I'm assuming the radio works. If so,the player is jammed & unfortunately the only solution is to remove the radio & try to take it apart to retrieve the disk. Usually you end up destroying the radio, but it's shot anyway.
diconect power for over a minute and try again, if that doesnt work then take out player from car and dismantle top cover of player and take out cds most likely theres more than 1
cd wont eject from player
