2001 Ford Focus. Stutters at high RPM's where is the fuel filter

Check fuel pump and tank filters. not getting enough petrol could cause that issue.

Check TPS sensor[RPM]and IAC sensor.

i have ford focus ghia 2.0 2002 model and i have problem with the fuel pump sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.. when i fill the tank petrol pores out, the pipe next to the filter also comes out, how do i fix the problem?

How old are the spark plugs? What brand and gap are the spark plugs? How old is the fuel filter? You should also do a fuel pressure test.

In 2001 Ford Focus 2.0L MFI DOHC 4cyl the Fuel Filter is located under vehicle, center, below trunk area, near fuel tank, mounted in fuel line.

it is most likley your fuel filter change it before you burn out your fuelpump. common whith those cars..

try the air filter first and the intake.the spark plugs then and after all go to a garage for checking compression timing and the head gasket.

check your plug wires that may help.

there was a 10 year unlimited mileage warranty on 2000 focus for this issue, but not sure if 2001 was included. The internal filters in the fuel pump clog and starve the pump. New stlye filters went into prodction but not sure if all of 2001 had the new design.
