What kind of fluid is used for brakes on a 2000 honda passport ?

The three main types of brake fluid now available are DOT3, DOT4 and DOT5. DOT3 and DOT4 are glycol-based fluids, and DOT5 is silicon-based. The main difference is that DOT3 and DOT4 absorb water, while DOT5 doesn't. It shouldn't matter which one you use, as long as you use the right amount.

Transmisson not shifting all gears. the d does not light on the dashboard when in drive it only shifts 2 gears

An easy solution is to make sure your not leaking transmission fluid and you have enough fluid in the vehicle.

2003 Ford Windstar.....81K miles......while cruising at top gear(D), if engine is b/w 1500-1800rpm, I get a barely noticeable "buffeting/sputtering". Within past 2 years, have had plugs/ignition...

the sreeing i would make sure belt is tight and have the power steering fluid flushed, you may what to change trany oil with a bg system flush and then after the flush replace the filter and pan gasket,as far as the sputtering it may be the trany or the engine misfiring, have the fuel preasure tested and maybe have the injectors cleaned with a motor vac service, hope this helps,

My van is shifting hard at times and we changed the fluid and filter about 2 weeks ago and it was fine until this morning and it started again what could be the problem?

Check the fluid level first clarck the transmisson line loose at the radiator and make sure oil is flowing thru the cooler if it is then you have a problem that will have to be tested at a transmisson shop, there are to many thigs to list that would cause hard shifting but have it checked before you damage any interal parts because if you damage hard parts the fix gets more expensive.
