Check the left side of the vehicle for a blown bulb or incorrect bulb in one of the sockets. The fast flash is a signal to tell you something is wrong with that side

sounds like one of light bulbs was malfunctioning and caused the flasher unit to blink rapidly and iy burned out. Replace front and rear turn lite bulbs and see if flasher flashes. if not check fuse and replace fuse. If fuse okay replace flasher unit. Good luck

Most likely a bad multifunction switch (turn signal switch), try wiggling the turn signal lever while it is turned to the left and see ifit ever works. This is extremely common problem on fords, but not the only one, could also be a broken wire ,bad ground or a bad light socket.
The turn signal/brake light wire goes to the turn signal mechanism in the steering column. It does this so your brake light and turn signals work at the same time. For example you put your foot on the brake and the left brake light will come on but allow the right turn signal to flash. Try you four way flashers and see what happens. Also be wary of the socket the bulb fits into. Double check for voltage with a test light at the wire coming in from the back. Check that the socket is getting a good ground. You can run a ground wire to a clean area of metal from the socket if you have to.
Let me know. Lee
There are 2 fuses, left and right, so I dont think both could be out? fuses. 33 and 35. make sure they have power on both sides of the fuse. If one side has power, its blown, if no power, the headlamp switch is bad, or bad connection. The RED/BLACK wires coming out of the headlamp switch go to those fuses. 33-35
The problem isnt a "fuse" The problem is either a bad ground to that circuit or the turn signal arm is faulty. If it were a fuse no signals would work. You can also check the blinker relay(flasher) which is also known to be faulty and cheaper to fix. wf
