I have a Toyota Avensis 2003 the Multi-Information Display unit has stopped working. There are fuses behind the glove box but I can't find any which have blown. Do you know the location of the fuse for this unit could there be another fault?
Hi,
I have Toyota Avensis 2005 model. I have a problem with Multi information Display unit. It does not turn off even after switching off the car. The display unit is stuck with a figure. Please help me in fixing this and resetting the unit.
I tried long pressing the ENT button and all the range buttons, but no use - also changed the ODO display.
Thanks,
Raksha.

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy SLT with same exact problem. I just determined exactly what it is today.
Here is what you should do:
1) Open glove box
2) Notice the u-shape mechanism that prevents the glove box from folding all the way down. (located near top left corner of OPEN glove box
3) Empty contents of glove box and then push up on U-shape and open glove box so that it hangs freely
4) Notice the wiring harness with a bolt in middle of it (located behind glove box)
5) To the right of the wiring harness is a small black box with a zip tie over it. This is the source of your problem. Just slide the zip tie to the right so that the box can then be pulled out.
This is your combination flasher for turn and hazard signals. My signals still worked while this annoying little thing kept clicking. The model # is GM11516051. You can find one on e-bay for at least 1/2 the price of the dealer's.
SOURCE: How to I replace the cabin air filter in my 2008 MC C300
Remove the three torx screws using a torx-20 screwdriver...pull back the padding in the footwell...there is tab holding the left part of the plastic piece, use a flat-head screwdriver
to pop it out...you may need to disconnect the light connector, and the cigarette lighter connection.. Once the plastic piece is out, you will see a large white box, the filter is
inside this box. There are two yellow clips that need to be slided to the
left/right. The box then pops out from below and the folded-filter will fall
right out
Good luck..i hope this helps..please rate me a fixya.
