probably the crank seal that the balancer runs against to keep the oil in the motor. you will have to pull the balancer off then pry the seal out and tap the new one into the timing cover. take a look to make sure as it could be the oil pan gasket. clean area and run car until you see oil coming out.
Have the engine steam cleaned (watch any electronics) Run the engine & start looking from the top, down. It may be a bad valve cover leak from the rear of the cover or ck the front & rear seals. (cracked head, block etc. It could be many places
It could be the oil pan gasket or the front seal behind the harmonic balancer(which is quicker and easier to fix) and it sounds more like the front seal is your issue.
i own a 97 honda accord make sure right oil filter clean all around oil pan clean around oil filter if you got it up on floor jacks start it up look for leaks and check valve cover gasket i don,t think it would be head gasket.
Yes there is. if it leaks, find out where. You may have engine damage from running the car out of oil. You say it leaks from the oil pump, same as before? was the oil pump replaced? Sounds like a pressure fed leak, so it should be easy to find.
It should stop leaking if you replace the front harmonic balancer oil seal. With the amount of mileage you have on your car, that seal definitely needs to be changed.
check your v-tec solenoidgasket mine was doing same thing it will not leak alot unless your driving it a high rate of speed and u will dump oil and not even notice it..
they don't use gaskets on oil sumps its sealant glue and yes u will have to reapply it when you put the sump back on, and what do u mean by main seal? do you mean the head gasket?
its going to be the treads of the oil pan. tale it to an auto shop and have them re tap(put new threads) in the oil pan and this will fix the problem. hope this helps.
