Either radio is bad, or you have a loose connection to speakers, or poor ground connection at the radio. If a poor ground connection, the radio will intermittently not work also. Since radio continues to work, but sound does not, it is probably a bad audio circuit in the radio itself.
The 2003 - 2005 Accord CD/Radio unit is prone to display failure. Honda had issued a TSB some years back but you may be beyond the warranty period. We repair this display issue. Check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
I had this problem on my 2006 Accord. You need to call a Honda dealership give them your vin and they will give you the code to enter into the stereo. I don't remember mine having letters in it as the one you posted???
If it is for the 4 cylinder, it's not that easy as the intake manifiold needs to be removed before the starter can be removed as the starter is under the intake manifold. Once the manifold is removed then it's a matter of a couple bolts and connections. It's not that quick a job.
well cud be the head unit is just simply going out. or the wire harrnes
is not pluged in the back of the unit very well. pop the radieo out of
the dash and make sure the pig tails (the wires coming thur the radio)

There was a recall for the 03-04 Accord radio. It had faulty circuitry
that caused the screen to go dim. Check with Honda to see if they'll
still honor the recall.
If everything else is still working and the Fuse is good it is Because the Internal Lighting on the Head Unit is Burnt out. The only way to Fix this is to get a New Head Unit.
Most hondas have the code on the vehicle itself for resetting the code once the battery has been disconected or radio removed. Try pulling the glove box out and looking on the inside of the cavity. You should not need a code to remove the radio the alarm should not go off, it is the installation. The radio will not work with any other --vehicle without your specific code, good thieves know this and would rather steal the whole car. "Especially the Honda Accord. Have one in the garage and a 2005 Pilot.
