I drover over 240 miles today and when I went to get gas it took 10 gallons then spit the gas out of the back, I don't think it was full, then I went to drive it from the gas station and when I pushed the gas the rpm's went up but it barely got any speed. I felt like something was missing. any solutions?
Your transmission is slipping. Where was the gas coming out from? I don't think it's related to your problem, but I'd like to know where it's exiting the car/tank.

Depends on miles per gallon of vehicle. Average mpg of say 15 mpg would take 15 gallons to travel 225 miles.(15x15=225). At $2.29 per gallon @15 gallons=$34.35. So figure out mpg of your vehicle and do the math.
Sounds like the vent for the tank may be defective. The vent is on top of the gas tank between the tank and the floor of the trunk. Or there is a blockage in the fill pipe for the tank below the connector hose. You may have to have someone remove the tank and inspect it.
Sounds like possible block in catalyst or broken up and blocked catalyst or oxygen sensor fault causing fuel/air mixture confusion if you take first o2 sensor out of exhaust manifold/pipe and see if performance back then this will confirm blockage although will be slightly noisy while testing cos sensor removed.
is it a gas or a diesel? its commen for the gas motor to get really crappy millage try with the tow button off and the shifting should improve, but the gas try changing the air filter to a k&N or something better like it
