I have a 1991 Cherokee Sport. The gauge seems to be stuck in the full position. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot/fix?

OK. I will try that. I've heard the same type of "backwoods" remedy for fuel pump issues as well. I've also been doing some research elsewhere, and am also seeing that these gauge problems may be caused by voltage /electrical issues. Wasn't sure if this may be the cause. But, I'll try wacking the gas tank first...

This is going to sound a little back woods but try hitting your gas tank with a hammer or kicking it because your float that sends the amount to your gauge is stuck.

OIL PRESSURE SWITCH-I'm not sure if this is the gauge sender, though. 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD 4.0L MFI 6cyl The Oil Pressure Switch is located: Under hood, passenger side, lower engine area, above oil pan, mounted in engine block.

Thermostat

Hi,
It sounds like your temp. sender unit could be faulty. If the gauge is showing the engine temp. is extremly hot that will be the temperature sender unit.

It shouldn't cost too much to replace maybe $ 60 - $ 100 depending on cost for the temp. unit and the workshop you go too.

Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

I have an 01 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I am having

As soon as the vehicle reaches around 180/195 (depends on the temp of the t-stat) the thermostat should open and thereby filling the top hose with warm/hot water.
Are you sure the thermostat is facing the right direction? Is the cooling system full?
Here is what you can do: remove the t-stat, replace any lost coolant/water and run the vehicle with heater on full blast for about 15 minutes or until the temp gauge is showing about halfway. During this time be sure to monitor the coolant level in the reservoir.
If you still have no hot air you may have a blockage or perhaps the heater hoses are not even connected.

99 jeep cherokee sport 4.0l 6cyl voltage will go to 19v

The problem sounds intermittent, if you put volt meter on the battery while it is at that 19volt mark/reading(on the gauge cluster) you will be able to see if it is true. If your alternator is really charging over 16volts the lights should be getting brighter then usual and/or they are burning out. Find out ASAP, if the alternator has a defective voltage regulator, it needs to be replaced. Prolong use will damage components.

1991 jeep cherokee sport.. diagram of fuses. Windows will not go up or down. Wondering which fuse it is. Please help

I looked in a Haynes manual and the electrical diagram shows it to be a 30 amp fuse. How ever it dosen't show which fuse it is. It more than likely is in the fues block under the drivers side of the dash. If not there it might be in the Black fuse/ control center in the engine compartment near the battery.
