Loud acceleration noise in my 2003 Mazda 6 2.0 auto

Hi... When I accelerate my 2003 Mazda 6 and rev up the engine, there is a loud noise coming from either the engine or exhaust system. I've tried another 2005 Mazda 6 of a friend and don't hear the same noise.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Loud whining noise especially on exceleration in 2010 Mazda Tribute

A loud whining noise on acceleration in a 2010 Mazda Tribute could be a sign of a few different issues. Here are some potential causes:
  1. Power steering pump: A whining noise can be an indication of a failing power steering pump. The noise may increase when the steering wheel is turned.
  2. Alternator: If the whining noise increases with engine speed, the alternator may be failing. This is because the alternator is responsible for charging the battery and powering the car's electrical system.
  3. Transmission: A whining noise during acceleration could also be a sign of transmission issues, such as low transmission fluid levels, worn bearings, or a damaged gear.
  4. Differential: A whining noise that increases with speed could also be a sign of a failing differential. This is the part of the car that transfers power from the engine to the wheels.
It's important to have a professional mechanic diagnose and fix the issue to prevent further damage to your vehicle.

When I press the accelerator there is a noise inside the car as though the fans have been turned on

If your battery is weak, the accelerator will boost the cars 12v power enough to speed up your fans if they are on...otherwise, maybe you have a driver - passenger area firewall hole...will really sound loud when you rev the engine.

Very loud squeal when accelerating and loss of power

How many miles? V6? Have you had a tune up(spark plugs changed..AT LEAST)? Should be changed about every 60,000 miles, according to the manual. Does your engine burn oil? Check your intake rubber tube, vac lines, pcv tube for crack. Hopefully your catalytic converter isn't the problem due to above...

2003 PT Cruiser turbo. Has just 67k miles on it. Just began making a low pitched loud whistle sound on acceleration or load/uphill. Gets louder with greater acceleration/load, no decrease in power.

I took my car to Keller's Auto Repair in Gettysburg PA, He specializes in Chryslers. I have 04 Cruiser with 2.4 Turbo that had the same whistle noise, and check engine light on. He found code P0301. The noise was caused by the #1 Cylinder injector O ring. Check them out on facebook. They will help you.

Loud rattling / buzzing noise from engine when cold not seconday air pump or air valve as already replaced.Timing belt, water pump and aux pullies all checked and ok.The colder the weather the louder the...

If the rattling changes with the revs of the engine, it might be that the valve compensators are either worn or not getting enough lubrication. 20V engines have quite small oil passages travelling to the head. They tend to clog up with gunk if the oil change is not frequent enough.

Tearing noise coming from engine

What you should do is, get a pair or ramps and get in under your car, you'll be amazed at what you'll find loose and busted off an auto that age.
