Hi i have a 1988 toyota corolla that keeps on stalling i dont know whats going on and dont know what to fix

I had a similar problem, the middle cylinders- both compression was low. The Expert Mechanic told me that the valves have to be replaced. So the Head was opened and the valves were checked and they wer allright. The the Head was machined, and the PISTON rings were replaced. Now the vehicle runs good. This might help.
So when you get to replace the valves, be ready for the pistons/ or piston rings. cost about 600 dollars in all.

I have 95 Toyota corolla 1.8 litter I notice when it get cold it drive find but once its get hot it stalls I do have a small leak on top of the radiator in when it stall smoke was coming from the top of it...

you must fix the radiator the steamed antifreeze is creating a spray back on the engine and is grounding out a sensor or the spark plug wires causing the stalling it is not good to keep doing this to the vehicle these cars run for ever but not if you keep letting it overheat which is what happens when enough anti freeze leaks out

Corolla 1988 model 4 cyl. engine overhauled.engine is stalling at low speed, choke is needed to keep engine start please give us solution to this problem

this is a simply one all you nned to do is replace the float in the carb and it wont stall no more

Its a 115000 btu multi fuel.it starts up,runs a few seconds,then shuts off.it doesnt smoke or anything wierd,it just shuts off.

It can be low fuel pressure issue or clogged fuel pump. Or its engine related issues,---------------

My car starts and then sputters and die
