code p1385 refers to camshaft position(CMP) actuator bank 2---circuit malfunction causes---wiring---CMP actuator. I would replace the actuator with a genuine unit as cheaper units are not always compatible with the cpu settings.
yes the v6 s type has got variable valve timing the code i think relates to the vvt soleniods your car if i remember correctly may need the powertrain control module reprogramming to correct this and to stop this code from being re flagged, unless you have a wiring problem or a faulty vvt soleniod, the powertrain control module on these vehicles are prone to water contamination. its located under the plenum chamber under the cabin filter a pig to get to
P303 = Cylinder 3 misfire
P0734= Gear 4 incorrect ratio
0745= Pressure Control Solenoid A Not sure if you just wanted to know what the codes were, or how to fix them hope this helps
P0066 = air assisted fuel injection (AAI) control circuit malfunction. P1380 = VVT Solenoid circuit malfunction bank 1 P1385 = VVT Solenoid circuit malfunction bank 2 P0353 = IGNITION SIGNAL COIL C FAULT.P1380 Variable cam timing solenoid A malfunction.Bank 1 cam solenoid located underneath intake manifold.The bank 1 solenoid is under the passenger side valve cover on the V8. On the V6 it's under the valve cover as well but the intake needs to be removed. Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
I recently starting having this problem also (only code p0305/308). That code means "miss-fire" on #2 cylinder. The #2 cylinder is the nearest cylinder on the right (closest to front of car on drivers side) if you are standing in the front of the car.
Hi there;
Your looking for the definition of code P1587 on you 2000 Jag S-type.
Are you ready for this? It has a long name.
P1587 :PCM to throttle actuator control module throttle command redundancy circuit malfunction.
Which means the information the engine control computerreceived from the throttle controller does not "compute". Unfortunately the dealer doesn't provide any repair information & if this code is constant it will need to be repaired by your local Jaguar dealer.
