I purchased a replacement mirror (Glass only) for my drivers side-view mirror. I'm not sure how to replace it. I don't see anything screwed into the mirror assembly, except for the swivel frame. If I pull out the cracked mirror I'm afraid of breaking the frame or something with the motor, since it is noted in the owners manual not to manually move the mirror around. I'm stumped. Your help in this matter would be much appreciated.. Brian
It dosent matter if you move the mirror around i have a Kia cerato known as spectra 5 in other countries(just bring the mirror back to position after replacement) . just get a flat screwdriver and pry the old mirror (with back plate) and then pry the mirror out from the back plate and stick the new mirror in then gently push the mirror into yhe housing.(i broke my driver(rightside UK) mirror as well just takes about 20 mins to replace it if u have the right glass) make sure you do not apply too much pressure to the back plate and the new mirror take ur time and every thing will be fine
Insert flat bladed screwdriver between outside rearview mirror holder and mirror actuator. Wrap it with tape. It should just pop off.
