The glass in my left window dislodged itself

The electrical window of my Pathfinder was working fine. When I lowered it as I was driving it this evening, I could not roll it back up. It sounded like the glass itself dislodged from the mechanism that makes it go up and down. It disappeared completely. The glass is intact, I am sure, because I did not hear a braking noise.

Thank you for your suggestions, but the problem was with the regulator. It had broken and had to be replaced. Cost: $ 203.00. They don't come cheap. I actually saw the part that had been damaged. Still, you guys do a great job by providing this type of assistance.

The window came off of the track. This happens when the plastic anchors that hold the window to the track assembly/scissor break. You will need to disassemble the door panel, retrieve the window (lift it into position), and install new plastic anchors onto the window and into the track. Your dealership will sell you a new set for 5 to 10 dollars.

2005 nissan pathfinder fuel light wont turn off tank is full

hi this could be one of a couple of problems , either the needle on the Gage has stuck to the empty side of the Gage try tapping it to see if it will dislodge itself, or the sender unit in the fuel tank is stuck at the bottom , you can however try to see if it will release itself by banging on the bottom of the fuel tank with your hand ( no hammers required), this should dislodge it from where it is, if this does not work, check the wires coming from the top of the tank to see if one of them has come off or is broken....hope this helps

Drivers side window won't go up or down

Have you checked the window regulator. (electric window motor). I seems a comon problem for the plastic to break at the bottom where the wire which pulls the glass up and down. The motor will still sound (clunk) if you use the window switch but will not lift the window.

Remove the trim off the door.
Undo the bolts holding the glass into the plastic at the bottom of the window and carefully remove the glass.
Unbolt and remove the sliding piece that holds the glass.
You should find the broken plastic at the bottom.

Replace and reinstall. Aftermarket parts are available at a fraction of the cost of buying new nissan parts. Second hand parts are available but costly.

93 pathfinder all 4 windows won't go up or down.

Guessing they're power windows. The driver side control unit for your windows is the master. If one of the other 3 windows fails individualy, the rest should work. If you lose the driver side, everything fails. Chances are water/snow/debris got between the crack of your window and the door and corroded something. Quickfix, get an airline and blow it down between the glass and door. Debris will be dislodge. If that doesn't work you need to take the paneling off on the inside of your door.
There'll be a dozen or so plastic pop tabs you can gently free with a flathead. There'll be screws or hex headed fasteners in the door handle, don't forget them. Unclasp any pigtails you see as the paneling come off. Check for continuity and obvious defects on the control unit. Replace as necessary.

2004 toyota camry power window

SInce you have window has not been used in 5 years, I would suspect that it is either stuck where the glass contacts the rubber around the glass, or, the door window motor is simply seized from lack of use. Take a butter knife and run it around under the window rubber, put the knife between the glass & the rubber, as if to "unstick" the glass from the rubber. If this does not work, pull off the door trim panel and TAP on the window motor with a small hammer whilst operating the switch to lower the window. One of these suggestions will cure your problem. Quite common with people who do not use their back windows.

Power window

Hi

Have you tried substituting the drivers side switch for the passenger side switch and seeing if that works in case its just a faulty switch?

Other than that, if the window is right down then wrap some electrical tape around the jaws of a pair of needle nose pliers to protect the window glass from the metal jaws and then try to grip the top of the window and pull it up far enough for you to be able to get your hands flat on the glass to get it the rest of the way up

It may be safer to use two pairs and a helping pair of hands to do this to relieve as much pressure from the window as possible.

Either this or remove the door panel and push the window up from the inside.

Very best regards

Geordie
