SOURCE: The small elbow shaped hose coming out of the
This is a 3100, or a 3400 V6 engine? It should be one of the water hoses that connects the tube on the front to the water pump, it is a preformed hose availiable from many parts stores and is not difficult to replace, if you drain a little coolant out before you take it off you will lose less coolant in replacement, be sure to refill coolant after your done. Hope this helps, let me know
SOURCE: Coolant Leak
the thing that revs your engine is the throttle body. which connects to the intake. some throttle body's have coolant running through them, if so its usually a small hose running to it that is bad. if its the intake. which sits all along the middle of the motor then you will need to put intake gaskets on it.if you can send me a picture of the leak then i will see if i can see whats leaking
SOURCE: Need to remove and replace the intake manifold
it is a great deal of work. The molded gaskets breakdown with time. You'll want to change the two 90 degree elbows as well - they are available from a dealer for a reasonable price. Also, the blower gasket is likely shrunk up and /or blown out. And you might as well replace the valve cover gaskets too as they leak oil as they breakdown with heat and time.
I did all of this on mine. Even as a professional, it took me a good 6 hours.
if it is leaking where it connects to the radiator it might be the radiator itself. take it to a shop and they can pressure test. some shops won't even charge for test.
