I have a 1994 hyundai ecel and i need to get my back seat off so i can put a seat cover on it. and would like to know how to do so
I imagine you're talking about the seat 'BOTTOM'? two 12mm bolts in between the seat back and bottom (at the seam where they meet). remove them and you can remove the seat bottom). Afterward, you will detect the fasteners holding the seat backs in place. If you remove those, the seat backs will come out.
First, remove the upper portions of the seat backs which are called 60/40 cushions. Remove the 60 first by releasing the catch and folding it down. The bolt will be on the inboard side at the bottom. Once removed, work the seat back in and away from the outboard pivot stud. Do the same for the 40. Then remove 2 more 12mm bolts at the rear of the seat bottom. Finally pull the 2 release levers at the front of the seat bottom and lift up.
