I have a 2007 G5 w/50,000 miles. The struts and rear shocks have just been replaced. I noticed last week that there is a squeeling noise coming, I think, from the front wheels. I can't determine if it is a single side or not. It happens on acceleration or just coasting but goes away with braking. I would like to say that it is a bearing noise but I don't want to make the jump due to not having the experience. I don't know if it is also just a buildup of brake dust, but I drive about 100 miles a day with about 70% full highway speeds. Wouldn't that clean them off? Making a turn does not affect it. Any suggestions?

Is your car a rear wheel drive? If so, the limited slip differential grease is low...if front wheel drive could be right rear strut/shock assembly is totally worn out...wheel bearing maybe, but usually makes a grinding noise...does applying the brakes affect this stuttering? Should be a free inspection at most quality repair shops...good that you notice this before it gets worse...
first check the lug nuts... second, jack the vehicle up one wheel at a time move it every possible way while looking for anything behind it that might be loose.
STRUTS IS SHOCK SURROUND BY COIL SPRING.IF YOU SEE OIL LEAKING FROM STRUT CARTRIDGE.OR CAR BOUNCES RIDE ROUGH.CAR SEEM MORE LOW ON ONE SIDE THE WHOLE STRUT NEEDS REPLACING.MY OLD CHEVROLET GOT 140000 MILES ON IT WITH ORIGINAL STRUTS THEY LAST LONG TIME.
noises are a pig to diagnose from afar but i would get a can of spray silicon and spray one component at a time to find the noise...do it when dry and when you dont hear it guess what?.....
HONDA Pilot struts do not require replace at specific mileage intervals or maintenance. Your vehicle’s struts should be checked annually. Struts wear out slowly and you may not notice gradual losses in ride comfort, handling and control. Excessive bouncing, rocking back and forth, drifting or nose- diving while braking, swaying, or cupping wear on the tires are some signs that your vehicle may have worn Struts. If you are purchasing new Struts for your HONDA Pilot consider premium Struts. Upgrading your struts usually improves overall ride quality, control and handling. Warn struts can increase the wear of tires, ball joints, steering linkage, springs and C.V. joints. Some original struts may be getting weak after 40,000 or 50,000 miles.
Failure symptoms: Vehicle continues to bounce after hitting bumps in roadway. Front suspension dives severely during hard braking. Swaying or rolling when at higher speeds. Signs of oil leaking from the shock rod seal. Clunking and banging noises coming from the strut may be signs of internal shock failure or strut mounts.
what kind of car do you have, you probably have struts in the front and shocks in the rear, and no the sensor will not be included in the wheel bearings, but if the wheel is not making a roaring noise you may not need new bearings, have someone you trust drive it and listen to it and you may be able to avoid paying a fortune for something you don't need.
